The NCAVA Board of Directors are pleased to announce that the 2014 State Conference on Volunteerism is scheduled for May 14-16, 2014, in downtown Greensboro, NC. This conference is presented annually by NCAVA to help fulfill its mission to provide education and leadership towards effective volunteer management. In addition, NCAVA will have a special celebration at this conference in observance of its 40th birthday.
The intended outcome of this conference is to assist participants in:
- learning new ideas and best practices,
- gaining skills that enhance professional development, and
- strengthening professional networks.
The conference planning committee is currently seeking proposals for presentations. We are looking for a diversity of proposals that will be informative and relevant to the field of volunteerism.
To be considered as a conference presenter, please complete and submit the attached Workshop Presenter Application by Friday, December 20, 2013. Applicants will be notified by January 15, 2014 if their proposals have been selected for the conference.
Each year we ask every affiliate to donate a basket to be used as a fundraiser for scholarships to future conferences. Click here to learn more.
