NCAVA Regional Director Recruitment Now Open (2022-2023)

The North Carolina Association of Volunteer Administration Board of Directors has started the process of recruiting new Regional Directors who will oversee recruitment in the Western and Eastern parts of North Carolina. We encourage interested NCAVA members to apply or share with others they feel may be a good fit. The position is completely volunteer, but it is a great way entry level position to gain leadership and non-profit board experience.

Position Information:

  • Location: North Carolina or surrounding areas if able to attend in-person meetings.

  • Primary Objective:

    The primary objective of the Regional Director is to promote NCAVA membership to qualified individuals within their geographic region, and to maintain relationships between the NCAVA Board of Directors and the members and affiliates of their respective region.

  • Responsibilities:

    The primary responsibilities of the Regional Director are: 

    • Serve as the local representative of NCAVA within their geographic region. 

    • Participate in the activities of the regional affiliate that is nearest to their region.

    • Serve as the local point person for interested parties inquiring about membership and CAVNC certification. 

    • Distribute NCAVA promotional materials, when possible, to organizations within their region. 

    • Advise the Vice President of Membership regarding local membership recruitment opportunities.

    • Attend quarterly meetings of Regional Directors and report on recruitment efforts within their region.

    • Share NCAVA posts on social media platforms, where appropriate. 

  • Terms of Office: The Regional Director is appointed by the President and serves a one-year term. 
    Terms of Position: The Regional Director reports directly to the Vice President of Membership.

  • Pay: None. This position is part of a volunteer board of directors.

  • Time Commitment: The NCAVA Board meets once every month via Zoom except for one to two in-person meetings usually scheduled in October and March. Please refer to the full job description linked above.
