Why Should You Attend The NCAVA 2023 Statewide Conference on Volunteer Management?

This year’s annual North Carolina Association of Volunteer Administration Conference theme is “Elevate Volunteerism” as we head to Asheville from May 17-19. Leading volunteers has never felt more complicated as we all emerge from the pandemic years into this new normal. Now more than ever, we are looking for ways to understand how to connect with our volunteers, and invest in ourselves. Gathering in the mountains will give us time to refresh, connect and feel energized to tackle the challenges ahead.

Why should  you attend?

  1. Learn about best practices, new trends and and how to improve your volunteer program

  2. Share ideas and resources

  3. Network with other leaders of volunteers around the state

  4. Renew your passion

Now is the time to invest in your professional development and network with leaders of volunteers from across the state. During the three-day conference we will be navigating many relevant workshops pertaining to volunteer management including; the commitment of the profession, planning and conceptual design, perspective and responsiveness, accountability, and resource development and management. You will have a chance to choose from sessions that would best fit your educational needs. In addition to these workshops we have procured two dynamic speakers to educate and entertain.

These three days are not only about the education you will receive to be a better manager, but also about networking and socializing with peers and professionals across the state. A sense of camaraderie occurs each year as we learn from each other and prizes/gift baskets are raffled during the duration of the conference. Affiliates and supporters of NCAVA donate prizes/gift baskets to help fund a scholarship program for NCAVA members to attend future annual conferences.

Please make every effort to navigate your way to the NCAVA 2023 Annual Conference. We look froward to seeing you there!
