NCAVA and it's affiliates host workshops across the state. Workshops endorsed by NCAVA allow for individuals to receive certification credits to go towards becoming a Certified Administrator of Volunteers in North Carolina (CAVNC). Additionally, Southeastern Community College offers an online course, Basics in Volunteer Management, throughout the year.

Compassionate Communication
with Volunteers Workshop

Learn a process of healthy communication that will significantly improve relationships with co-workers and volunteers. In this workshop, you will learn to speak, think and listen in ways that inspire compassion and understanding while discovering common ground with anyone, anytime and anywhere. Attendance at this workshop will earn you 1.5 credit hours towards CAVNC certification or renewal in the category of “Commitment to the Profession.”
